Hello everyone. This is Feifei and I will be writing the blog this week.So how was your weekend? Yesterday was the London Marathon 2008. The London Marathon has been held in London each year since 1981, and it is usually in April. This year's race is the third biggest of the 28 London Marathons since it first started.
  Over 35,000 people took part in the race and more than 34,000 people finished the 2008 London Marathon. 92,000 people originally applied to run in this year's race, and 45,791 applications were accepted. The whole course of this year’s marathon is 26.2 miles, which is about 42 kilometres.Martin Lel from Kenya has won his third London Marathon title; he ran the whole course in under 2 hours, 5 minutes and 15 seconds the fastest record for a men's marathon in history.
A special feature of the London Marathon is that a very large amount of money is raised each year for charity. Lots of people dress up to run the marathon.
